This CD contains the soundtrack to the Swan of Salen, a multimedia adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake created by the Willow Trio in collaboration with Ballet Folk, Thistle Ridge Films, and Mary Ann Kennedy. Rooted in Gaelic culture, this new take on the classic ballet is set to a Gaelic story, features an all new choreography, and blends Tchaikovsky’s score with traditional Gaelic music performed on three clàrsachs.
